I've been travelling recently so I've only been wearing my EM over the last 3-4 weeks due to my insurance only allowing me to travel with one "High End" watch. Can you get additional insurance for extra watches when travelling?

Anyway........I've just given him a quick bath and put him back in his protective box. I've taken his wee brother (B1) out to give him some wrist time and I just remembered that I synched them both a while back. On checking the EM and B1 I found them to showing identical times. The last date I synched them was Sunday the 20th of July 2008. Compared them to BBC Ceefax, which is what I synched them with originally, and they are both one second behind. So in 3 months they both have lost only one second according to Ceefax (maybe Ceefax is wrong and my Professionals are correct ).

Not bad eh, especially considering the EM has had a lot more wrist action than the B1, which I intend to rectify immediately.

Just thought I'd share this with you, and as I've probably bored you enough I'm off for a cheeky pint, have a good weekend,

I would probably say that Ceefax is slightly wrong, especially if your EM and B1 are showing the EXACT same time as each other.

SuperQuartz really is remarkable technology. My wife's Cockpit Lady has been ticking along for almost a year and it's currently slightly less than 4 seconds out - and that's probably from when the clocks change!

 Ah, this is all due to magnetic deviation on the Ilkley/Addingham fault caused by heat energy being converted directly into electrical energy every time Leeds play at home  Seriously though, I have heard that the GMT time signal can be variable dependant on whether it is received by an analog or digital radio, I gather the digital signal lags behind. I leave it to more scientific minds to correct an old Dalesman!

Okay, I have no idea what that means, Armchair Pilot, even after the "seriously" part :? , but it sure sounds like you know what you are talking about so I will take your word for it :)

I do know, since I have one, that the SuperQuartz is super accurate :D

Hi Armchair Pilot,

good post but surely you must mean "every time SUPER Leeds play at home"?

Best wishes from Narf Yarkshar,

Hmmm Verner, I'd better be careful what I say about Leeds, especially when you can find my noseprint on Dysons or Berrys Jewellers windows whenever I'm in the city

Best wishes from the Dales

I wasn't being facetious, honest.

Best wishes from the foot of the Moors,
