I'm not sure that I get the black steel thing with the Red Arrows. As a kid I always associated their shows with lots of colour - the iconic red white and blue smoke. This seems a little too muted for something that pays tribute to them, would like to know the story behind it - did they have a role in the design for example.

Wow. How could it get so off piste? Wonder what the imaging was for this special model. Perhaps they were persuaded by PR that this all made some kind of sense! Would have made more sense as a BB model. I really don't get it.

Yeah, I don't get this one either. Clearly Breitling hasn't completely let go of it's "blacksteel" obsession.

Probably have too much invested in the blacksteel. They missed the black watch boat by a few years.

There is nothing impressive about this watch, and quite frankly, I don't know how this would appeal to someone not connected to the Red Arrows.

For me the Transocean association is with the elegance and prestige of transcontinental airline travel of the 50s and 60's.
Coating the TOC in black and sticking a Red Arrows logo on it, borders on sacrilege, abomination!
A bit like the end result of the molecular-genetic fusion of Jeff Goldblum with a common housefly in "The Fly".

I knew a 50th anniversary watch was coming, but I was hoping it would be the Chronomat 44 GMT.

I like it , but would have loved it in an all black world timer version

I attended RIAT - the Royal International Air Tattoo last weekend, and was lucky enough to have corporate hospitality tickets to attend a meal with all of the Red Arrows pilots, to chat with them all, and to watch the displays from pretty much on the runway! They were all really nice down to earth guys, and were all wearing the 15x limited run of this watch not available to the general public, which does have red accents. It seemed somehow more appropriate, and was very nice.

Also, spent a bit of time in the Breitling hospitality tent, and got chatting to the Jet Team guys who were a crazy bunch. Singing and play-fighting with each other, whilst smoking like chimmneys (they are mostly French!).
Just before I left, I asked if I could take a picture, and one of them replied "ahhh, oui... selfie?"
