I have always wanted a nice watch and I have recently made some great career moves that have put me to where I was finally able to do it. I really screwed up and just hopped on ebay and picked out a Superocean X-plus that really caught my eye and pulled the trigger. The one I bought was more expensive than any of the others listed but was listed as "like new". I paid $2600 for it :(. I have since been obsessing over it and reading hours a day on this forum. I came to the conclusion that I way overpaid. I was bummed at first that I probably paid about a grand too much, but eventually came to terms with it. Well the watch showed up today, and it has two small chips in the face and didn't come with the original box. The chips are small, but the reason I bought this watch was because it was "like new". Am I wrong in wanting a refund?

If it was described as 'as new', and isn't, you can and should simply return it for a refund. The seller guarantees a 'not as described' refund.

Seems straightforward to me - seller sold you something that you didn't get and promises a refund in that event. Done deal!

Sorry to read your experience. I would arrange to send it back too. It will obviously cost you the return shipping & you will want to guarantee the watch is protected & insured so that the seller has no comeback on you. If there is any dispute, raise it with eBay for mediation.
