Hi there

Im "new in town" however I've decided to share my experience with my Navi :)

I bought it from a jeweler in Sydney AU in 27 of March 14, it rarely leaves my wrist, only to go to the GYM or having a shower or when Im "on-the-job" with the missus. Anyway, I have been using it day in day out since, valid to mention I do not take it off even to sleep, since I have very light sleep and during the night I like to check how many hours I have to go if awakened during the night for whatever reason, meaning I have been using it since pretty much 24/7, even the leather band is already all marked for two months of (very intense) usage :shock: :roll:

I work as a helicopter pilot for an Offshore company on a "4 days-on 4 days-off" roster, normally 3 flights of 1.2~1.8 hrs every day of the four days Im at work, needless to say my Navi is always with me and it's used for time keeping of every flight I make (Engines on ~ Engines off) !! I love it to bits, its bezel is used a lot in flight as well, to calculate fuel consumption, FOA ( Fuel on Arrival ) Endurance etc. We are given all this info on the flight plan calculated by OPs officers, however, more often than not the wind is not exactly as advertised, therefore GS & endurance change and my Navi always gives me all the answers I want on the turn of the bezel :) I really can attest, this is a truly "pilot's watch"

One is probably wondering why the hell Im blabling all this stuff, well I've been reading lots of varied experiences with the Navi and seams people are really quick in sharing their BAD experience but not the good ones, unless as a response for a "Bad exp" post...

Im here to say the watch is bloody brilliant !!!!! It's accurate till the second everyday since I bought it. I have a "compulsive disorder" that makes me check the time on the GPS every flight, and it's always dead right to-the-second every time.

I do know its an automatic, but I wind it 10 times every morning and 10 times every night before go to sleep, since we can't over-wind an automatic watch, I figure, why not eh ??? I don't baby it in any shape or form, just use it...

Hopefully it will stay like that for long time. Till now, it is an AWESOME piece

Yes. There are a few more of us Aussies making the junction with Breitling. Welcome and enjoy your stay.

May I say that the navitimer was made for people like yourself, who actually fly. Yes I hear you say that there's so much cockpit info available these days that a watch calculator is; redundant. But the point is here is an example of someone doing exactly as the maker intended in 2014 with a watch concept that basically 70!years old. Brilliant and a great advert for the watch. Thank you for sharing and I look forward to more reports on your navi. Cheers

Cheers mate and welcome to the forum, from yet another Aussie.
Although this one has left for Asia for a six week assignment 17 years ago and is now struggling to find his way back home.
Maybe I need to try to use my Navi to chart my way back home, wherever that is now :-)

Yeah, Ive heard few times ppl saying "the watch is too nice to be used on such agricultural cockpit like the 76, it belongs on a A380 or a 747 cockpit" Which I beg to differ since the watch was designed on the 40s and I truly believe the cockpits of the acft's from that vintage would be even a bit more agricultural than my humble daily work-horse :roll: not to mention that I cant remember any A380s or 747s on the 40s, 50s or even 60s.... in having said that, comments like that come out of the mouth of ppl that would buy a Rolex Sub and are scared to wear it to the swimming pool...WTF ?!? Oh well, each to its own eh?!?
