Am surprised so little news has come out regarding the new colt auto exhibited at basel.

has anyone heard anything or seen any pics other than the three a google search throws up.

I am impatient as my hard worked for watch fund is ready for colt or an avenger gmt and the wait is seemingly endless!

fantastic, a real pic at last. Is that an early dealer sample or are they on sale now?

Are the case and bracelet both brushed? Does it wear big or small for a 44mm? What are your thoughts on it?

Well, as it's says in my signature, I'm an AD and we have it for sale already. The bracelet and bezel is brushed, the case with lugs is polished as is the sides of the case and the sides of the bracelet. I am used to wear watches around 44 mm so for me it is the perfect size. Doesn't feel big wearing it.

Maybe I'll have as good luck as OP did? I'm on the search after the Baselworld 2014 announced new Steelfish Chrono 44 day-date BEB dial on bracelet but have found almost nothing on the web yet.
BTW this Cold Auto is a nice piece too...
Thx for your reply!
Robert

I saw you were an AD, I just wondered if it was for sale or at a 'demonstration' type event.

Glad to hear it is for sale already. I'll try and get my UK dealer to locate one now.

Am surprised to hear the case and lugs are polished but the bracelet is brushed, I saw this in the Basel pics but assumed it wouldn't make it to production models, seems unusual to mix the finishes on two surfaces next to each other. But am glad to hear the bracelet is brushed anyway.

Thanks for the pics, I appreciate the time you took.

You're welcome! To be honest, when the watch arrived in my shop it was strange to see the polished case with the brushed bracelet but after looking at it several times and wearing the watch (bought one for myself as well) I kinda like it!

@Robertus61: No news on the Steelfish Chrono yet. If one arrives, I'll will post pics for you!

Thx and special thx for the prompt reply! Looking forward too seeing the photos when the time comes. Did you get any reliable info on delivery schedule?
In case of the Colt Auto the contrast between the surfaces is tolerable because of the vastly brushed bezel I think. If this contrast still disturbs someone at least the centre links can be polished later.

I think the polished lugs and brushed bracelet will look fine, the brushed area will flow from the bezel down to the bracelet.

I asked my AD to just brush an avenger gmt bracelet citing that the flow from brushed bezel to brushed bracelet would work, but he was adamant that a polished lug would never work next to a brushed bracelet on a Breitling. Your Colt pics seem to show it does

Thanks again for the pics, leave me with a (nice) dilema now, avenger GMT or Colt auto, will just have to see which one wears better now.

Wim - may I ask what the bracelet is like? Is it a similar thickness to the new pro3 bracelet found on the avenger gmt - which is quite thin, or is it chunkier? As an dealer hopefully you'll be able to make a direct comparison if you have a gmt in stock.

many thanks in advance
