Comparing the Datora, or any other model that has a lot of complications, to a somewhat simpler Navi. Is there a tangible difference in the amount of maintenance needed? I realize that Breitling recommends that a Datora should be maintained once every 2 years, and a complete over-haul every 5 yeras. To me, this sounds rather frequent. Is this/these models that much more cumbersome to maintain? Any real-world experiences? How about a regular Navi? Is the maintenance frequency truly as recommended by Breitling (4-6 years if i am not mistaken)? Or do you tend to prolong the time between maintenaces? If so, what are the risks if the watch has seen a lot of (daily) use? Maintenance aside, should I expect more problems with a Datora compared to Navi as well? I absolutely love the Datora, but the relatively expensive and frequent maintenance intervals are a bit of a turn of... Thus, making me having second thoughts, and looking at the Navi as a compromise :/ Please share your views and stories! ![]() Thank you. |

Maintenance windows are driven by the breakdown of oils and will be needed every 5-7 years regardless of use. No tangible difference between a Datora and any other 'normal' Navi. Datora costs may be fractionally higher for things like hands but it would be just a few bucks. |

If you love the Datora (I do), then get it! What's a few bucks every half decade anyway? |
