Hi, thought I'd say hello as I bought my first Breitling a while back and haven't really given it much thought until recently, when I decided to buy a "beater" watch to use in the pool and so forth. Still haven't found anything I like nearly as much as my Colt so have pretty much turned into a "one watch" person! So looking forward to being here and learning a bit more.
I did think about a Colt SQ on a rubber strap a while back, having seen them online in the US for $1,500 or so and thinking that price in GBP with VAT added, I could stretch to it. The nearest AD (this was summer 2007) had to suppress a supercilious chuckle when I asked about discounts, so I forgot about it. Recently that dealer, which was never that busy, went out of business - and I'll leave you to decide if that is a good thing or bad
