Breitling apparently don't totally ignore social media - Mr. Girardin shows some watches.
2k views on youtube; a bit sad, isn't it ?

Thats what you get when you ignore the people that actually buy your products

Amazing there's only been 2.5k views.... and just 3 comments. And it's interesting that those comments all seem to be saying Breitling need to focus on simplicity, they need to bring out an in-house 3 hander, bit of a miss in terms of the battery life on the in-house quartz, etc.

(That said, I have to say I do really like the look of the B50).

Breitling seems totally incapable to communicate - Mr. Brunner is still writing (or cutandpasting) their history blah, they totally neglect IG, fb and the blogosphere - look at the level of involvement we are getting here. hard to understand.

I'm not sure what the fuss is about. These are 'youtube' videos of this years Baselworld launches.
Views:
Breitling - 2686
Breguet - 2359
UN - 2143
Zenith - 1987
PP - 7780
Rolex - 2914
Omega - 1436
Bremont - 1098
Blaincpain - 1578

etc.

Other than PP, don't see a lot of interest in the other brands either, or I'm I missing the point ?

I def would have figured more views. But either way that Navi GMT is going to be owned by me sooner than later. That display caseback, larger size, in house movement. They listened to my harassment.

I'm proud to be a fan of such an iconic and stylish brand that is Breitling. In my workplace I see people amazed at the style and statement that Breitling makes. Most of them are young like me ready to make their first big purchase and I'm always helpful when they come to try on my Chronomat.

Terry - no fuss, but the figures u quote are far off.

on youtube the Omega SM300 teaser had 22k views, ablogtowatch SM300 12k; just examples.

on IG Breitling have 4k followers, 200 likes for the Navitimer GMT Basel launch; Omega has 34k and 2k+ likes for their Basel product announcements.

the blogosphere widely ignored the Breitling Basel launches.

and I don't have to prove their lack of support and involvement here, do I ?

I was quoting and comparing numbers from the same youtube blogs where you got the Breitling numbers, 2014 Baselworld launches for the various brands, that come up next to the Breitling article. If you bring in other blog sites for specific brand pieces then you can find additional data.

well, proves never to trust statistics .... valid pov, but I compared youtube videos about Basel 2014 launches, watches.tv seems to be the only one who covered Breitling ?

the IG presence though seems quite comparable. Breitling doesn't "get" social media.

Fred, you should know better than that by now. Marketing image from the different brands:

Rolex - successful individual who has accomplished something in life, ....

Omega - super star, movie star, glamour, blah, blah, blah...

Breitling - pilot and/or diver, somewhat happy go lucky. A professional in need of so called "instruments for professionals" and a blond or two according to Breitling commercials.

Which one would 80-90% of the population like to aspire to or be associated with?
I rest my case.
