Man I was going nuts without my Breilting. Just back from it's 6 week stay at BUSA for the 5 year complete service. I am so amazed they took out almost all the nicks, and also professionally matted the ocean racer clasp to match the titanium. I had done it myself with scotch bright, and they just perfected it for me. The match is now perfect and looks like it came from the factory. BUSA is the coolest! Makes me feel like the $320 was a bargain. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

That is impressive! That Ocean Racer looks great on that watch to begin with, but the treatment they gave it looks incredible. That Ocean Racer suits your watch beautifully. I got one for my Steelfish, and it looks great, too. Cheers, Carl |

I still can't believe it myself 5 years of hard use, and I had what I thought was a deep "cuts"/scrapes on the sides that they managed to massage out. They seem to have lessened all nicks by 95% so that only I can seen where they used to be since there is only a faint trace. My favorite is the perfection of the clasp though, I think I will no longer use a scotch brite for touch up, but instead wait for the complete service for a refresh, save titanium that way. If my AR coating wasn't scratched you would think it was new. The offered to replace the crystal for about another $300, but I passed on that since it's only they AR that is scratched(which you have to examine to notice) and it will likely happen again. Maybe I will replace the crystal at the next 5 year interval. The watch spent a whole week in quality control. I am very happy with Breitling. Finally a company that actually does what it says, this video isn't just marketing bull-shit: http://www.breitling.com/service-chrono/ |

I showed a non Breitling owner friend of mine that video, he was flabbergasted at the attention to detail...He is going to get a Breitling for a Christmas present for himself now! I just forwarded him your post, Can't wait for the response! I think you are right in not replacing the crystal yet, I can't see any marks on it, another 5 years of use will make it worth the extra three hundred! I am guessing though that the hands were replaced as that seems to be on the list of standard things including the click spring to replace. Think of it this way, what would $320 buy you nowadays, not a lot! I would call that incredible value! I bet it feels like wearing a brand new watch! |

Yes, the hands were replaced as part of the complete chrono service. -David |

I always knew they give you back a like-new watch. What impresses me the most is that they went the extra mile for you when they noticed that you tried to brush the clasp yourself. If it was polished, they probably would have left it that way. But when they saw what you were trying to achieve, they helped you out. |

The work they did is really great - it is, like so many already have said, just as new. Congratulations! |
