Hi, I received my Breitling Cockpit Big Date after a full service on February 20th. It's just coming up to 2 months since then. I felt reassured, through this forum, that my watch would take a little time to settle in. I'm probably going to sound obsessive, but I have kept a daily record of its timekeeping. It started at between +6/7 seconds fast and slowly came down to + 3 seconds. This was for about 1 week, then it went to almost exact time. After a week or so, it went back to + 3 seconds. Still, I didn't mind too much, until, one day, it went to -2 seconds. Today, it's started gaining slightly, + 3 seconds. I suppose it's the inconsistency that bothers me. Am I worrying about nothing, should I wait longer or send it back to be checked? Thanks, Poet. |

I would not be worried as long as it stays between -4 and +6. From what you have posted so far, to me it looks like the watch is settling well. And no, you don't suffer from OCD ![]() |

Accuracy is going to be affected by many, many things - temperature, power reserve, position, etc, etc, etc. It's going to vary and the variances should remain within COSC. Yours is and there is nothing wrong with it. |
