I am thinking about buying a new Breitling.
And I assume, the new movements with 5 year warranty, would be the best choice.
I have a budget of around Euro. 6K and like these two models the best;

As far as I am aware, they both have the same B01 movement.
So is it further only a question of personal taste regarding these two models, or are there other things to take in account?

Movement is the same, so no practical differences internally, it will come down to fit on the wrist and personal taste.

The Navitimer in the pic is a LE and is sold out. Well, here in Belgium it is. And I see you are from the Netherlands so I think this will be the case for the Benelux... Or maybe an AD still has one. Retail prices in Benelux for both watches are 7k+ Frans.

Hi Wim,

I know an AD who has them both at 25% discount, so the TO will be around 6K and the Navi around 5.5K
The only thing is that I want to trade in a Vitesse and they rather don't trade in, because they close the shop this year.

Sounds like a good deal indeed! Probably they want to liquidate stock because 25% is quite a lot in our region...

I'd have some doubts as well. Like them both a lot, but I chose to go for the Navi first and then in the near future, I'll go for the TOC.

Thanks Jay and Wim

Is there any special reason for choosing the Navi above the TOC?

I like them both and learned overhere, that there are too many Breitlings LTD and that it doesn't realy add a lot of extra value.
Ofcourse it would be a deal breaker for me if one of them turns out to be a populair model and the other one not.
I am also taking in account that whenever I would want to sell the watch in the (far) future to step up to another model, it doesn't do me any good to have an impopulair and difficult to sell model.
But as far as I am aware they are both quite populair (correct me if I am wrong), especially the Navi 01 as it has won the Best Watch contest overhere two times in a row.

For me, the Navi was the watch that made me become interested in watches and is in fact the reason why it became my job and passion. I remember the first time I saw one was I was sold immediately. I knew then that I wanted to own one in my future life and started to learn and read about Breitling and later watches in general.

The Transococean is a worthy competitor, while the Navi 01 is a favorite for many on this forum I would choose the TO.

strap both of them on your wrist - the one that "speaks to you" is the right one.
nobody can really advise you on this, Frans ?

the TOC is based on the design of another "quintessential" Breitling, the Top Time ref. 810, so it has Breitling DNA in spades.

Hi Fred,

That is what I intend to do next.
I wanted to know if there where other things to take in account and asked just to be on the safe side.
