so, only 2 weeks in, and after treating my "baby" like it was make of glass, i have found a bunch of scratches on the clasp.... In my company we use a clear film to cover labels used in solvent exposed area's, anyone out there tried this kind of film on the clasp to avoid desk damage....i have just put some on....looks invisible.......(So Far) we shall see...... |

The clasp is always the most vulnerable. My SuperOcean of 10 years had multi scratches. After the first few, I just got used to it. Now there are a few scratches on my new Steelfish clasp, and also the bracelet. If you look at the watch as a whole, rather than each small section, you won't notice them at all. I just get used to it as a fact of life, and you probably will eventually. Have fun with the watch! Cheers, Carl |

Most scratches can be polished out with a shino/ cape cod cloth. I have a ploishing kit with cloths of varying micron sizes, and it takes tham out with a little work. Or you could leave the "character" marks. Depends how anal you are about your 'ling. |
