hi, please welcome my recently newly acquired SOH. It's the 42mm and I must say that, for me, it has the perfect size and weight. I looked for a long time at the 46mm because I liked the date at 6, but in the end it is far too big for my wrist (16,4 cm) so I went for this more reasonable size. It came with the rubber strap, but, even at the minimum size, it's too large form me, so I used a steel bracelet in pilot style that has straight end links. What's your opinion? Now I'm wondering if buying the original mesh. Now the question: I timed the watch leaving it face up in the case for a week, and it is circa at +2,5 sec/day I also timed it for a week wearing it, and there I got some disappointment: circa +10 sec/day Isn't this too big of a difference? Should I send it to Breitling to regulate or I'm too picky? (it has one year of warranty left). A quick picture took with the cell: Attachment: SOH.jpg

Did you cut down the rubber strap? I have tiny wrists and the rubber still fits me. Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk |

No, it had the one fixed length with clasp, not the deployment one. |

I would wear the watch for longer and see how it settles. It's adjusting to a new routine and may well need to adjust to the many different environments that you subject it to. The difference between box and wrist isn't that excessive given all of the variables and you don't want it regulated until it has fully settled. If it is still +10 a month from now then get it regulated. |

I would go with the Ocean Classic if you can get it, most comfortable bracelet hands down, and looks the business! |

If it is still +10 a month from now then get it regulated. I noticed that it has big sensibility to temperature variations: after a hot shower of 15 minutes at 40°C it may have gained 3 or 4 seconds. May this also be something that can find an equilibrium with time? I'm amazed because my Navitimer keeps great time at +1 sec/day regardless of the work conditions (even in the shower) |

I don't think the mesh bracelet is feminine at all. It is a very classic and more vintage look. I think the SOH looks best on the mesh personally but that's just my opinion. Also, the navitimers have basically zero water resistance and you mentioned that you wear it in the shower. I would never risk a navitimer in the shower, that's just asking for trouble..... |

Navitimers and showers are definitely a bad mix. Temperature will certainly affect a watch's rate. |

Yep, Breitling are explicit that 30m watches are not spec/d to go in a shower: http://www.breitling.com/en/service/water-resistance/ |

Ive also worn that bracelet on Navitimers, and Transoceans and a Super Avenger, looks great on anything. |
