Thank you Ron. The Cockpit B50 looks very good. So, onto Reno.

Is it my imagination or is there a reason there are no pictures of the opposite side of the case, only the crown side? I can't find one clear shot anywhere. Any thoughts?

As much as it looks nice in pictures, at 48mm unfortunately not for me and most likely excludes majority of potential buyers too.

Here is a picture of the other side of the case from BaselWorld.

This and the new emergency raise some interesting issues. On one hand, I think it's admirable that Breitling continue to follow an "instruments for professionals" path. On the other hand, I sure hope a lot of pilots purchase them, because I don't see the size resonating beyond a very purpose specific group of buyers. I also recognize that sometimes centerpieces are made more for publicity then for volume in sales. I guess I'm just a bit sensitive right now to the general oversizing of the lineup, including Navitimer 48 and 44 millimeter Colts.

Emergency size is driven by the transmitter as far as we know, but this has to be a conscious design choice. I can't believe that they would develop an in house quartz that requires a case this big. Then again, the only thing more amazing than an in house quartz is how little fanfare Breitling have given it.

Right. I'm very puzzled by all this.

Thank you for that. I suspected there must have been part of the menu control somewhere on this side. As 2 pushers would have seemed a bit restrictive, given the number of modes one would expect.

A saw a video as well from the same IG user but couldn't find it. I believe that is only the charging port for the USB charger to charge the battery. But I might be wrong. At least that's what the video made it look like.

The celebrity gshock community might go for the B50. Rugged, oversize and reassuringly expensive.

Nice blue graphics. For a non quartz person even I'm excited. Still prefer a charging station stand instead of a cable. Does it have a night dimmer when it's not in use? The digital info is behind the dial (ala other Breitling models). What if it were integrated into the dial?

:yeah that the 48mm watch is just way too big. there are a few people with gorilla wrists that can pull it off, but for the average person with a wrist that is 6.5 - 7.25 inches its just too big
