If the warranty card is dated less than 2 years ago (5 years for a recent in house piece) it is under warranty, otherwise it isn't. If you don't have a warranty card then it's not under warranty.

I have the warranty card. How do you know if it's in house?

It's not in house so if you (or the original purchaser) bought it an authorized dealer you would have 2 years from the purchase date.
