Breitling Chronomat BO4 GMT

Decided I wanted to expand the Breitling collection a little so off I went to the Breitling Boutique for a good nosy, passed DM Robinson and had a look at the Panerai collection and popped in they had no 389 very scarce around these parts they had one in liverpool so I asked if the could send it over for a look.

Anyway back in the boutique ......

Spent about an hour choosing and fell for this GMT BO4 47mm I love my Breitlings they are blingy but can be toned down with the addition of a lovely Croc Strap.

Image

I went for the Black dialed with black Croc on deployant or folding clasp blar blar, the clasp is the newer version instead of just pulling it apart, when you lift the back at 45' deg it unlocks.

This one comes with a 5 year warranty and the new style electronic card this works with the chronometer cert which has a chip in it, Breitling have a reader so when you put the cert under the reader and slot the card on top they both match up and the details are sent to Breitling.

The BO4 movement has a 70 hour power reserve nearly 3 days, 500mtr WR, at 47mm she's a big bugger but wears well the lugs sit very nicely over the wrist and it's very comfy, remember the old style crocs you had to wear them for weeks before they shaped to the wrist, this one just fits perfectly from the start.

I looked at and tried on the 44mm but all that information just got lost in translation between my eyes and the dial. I need a clear dial 40mm is the smallest in my collection, but this dial is easy to read the date is clear being White on Black.

I know Breitling I've had a few and they have upped their game I love the GMT and the inhouse movement the watch is an every day wearer and I am enjoying it very much just wanted to share.

Quick pic of the Pam 389 picked it up yesterday very chuffed.

Thanks

Beautiful choice, the Chronomat GMT is one of my favorites! Great review as well. Oh yeah, the Panerai is sweet too!

What a great watch! Unfortunately not many of us would be able to handle the 47mm.

Beautiful watch. I have the 44 LE01. Can't beat their looks! Wear it in good health.

Nice and congrats! You should have it in pilot bracelet too IMHO. The best bracelet ever!

I tried on a solid gold Chronomat GMT 47mm in Vegas. And I didn't even realize it was 47 mm at first. It wears very well and comfortably. You may want to try it if you haven't yet. beautiful watch enjoy it.

Truly is a beautiful watch, I too have succumbed & bought one. A quick question, do you think the clickspring seems weaker than other Breitlings?, mine seems to turn too easily compared with my Blackbird & Crosswind.
Cheers Max

I have just acquired a GMT as well, and my bezel isn't very tight either. The click spring isn't as tight as a SOH or Avenger, but it doesn't move on me unless I'm rough housing with the kids or something. I've had watches where the bezel was so loose, that just from rubbing against my sleeve it would move. It's not that bad but it is a little looser than most other Breitlings.
