http://www.breitlingforbentley.com/en/n ... ht-carbon/ This is an interesting look....I guess Another member just got this in.. Here is a live photo. The photo on the website looks a little better than it does in the real world IMHO, but still very cluttered for sure. viewtopic.php?f=13&t=52619 |

Obviously DLC models are a good sellers for Breitling else they would not be churning them out model after model as we have seen in recent times. I hear that DLC models are selling quite OK. Maybe the AD members here can comment, confirm or dispute. Not for me but then again I'm not in the target consumer segment. Obviously I am too old ![]() |

I thought there was something different about this one. The website picture as they usually do made it look kind of cool and different, still a bit busy though. But then I saw the real life picture and the dial to me seemed way to cluttered and the DLC just didn't pop as much as it does on some other models i.e the Avenger Blacksteel for instance. |

I feel the open worked dial is too much to add to an already busy dial, it doesn't work well IMO. To be fair I am really not a fan of B4B, but I do like DLC. |

I don't really like the open dial on this one or the DLC either, which is unusual because I'm typically a fan of open faced dials and I like some of the DLC'd breitlings. The overall look of it just doesn't look good to me and adding DLC didn't help it out. I took a look at a couple of these in the store over the weekend and they looked kinda cheap to me. |

I really like the open dial on the regular 6.75 like Zach has pictured above. It doesn't seem at all as busy compared to the DLC version with the same dial for some reason. It is something different that not a lot of people will have I think. But the open dial with the DLC just doesn't work IMO. Either way the DLC model with this dial is just way to cluttered, busy, and just not attractive. |

I had this 6.75 DLC notification my inbox today too. Sorry, but I think it looks absolute garbage. As MattC said, the open dial makes an already busy watch (I have a standard 6.75) way too cluttered, and as for the DLC...... well, my contempt for the seemingly never-ending desire to DLC everything in sight is well documented on here. |

I'd have to agree about the dial, the open work makes this perticular model look cheap. It gives me the same feeling a get when I see a well done replica. |

Rearrangement of a bunch of existing styling cues, apparently at random. Pass. |

As a recent owner of a dreaded Blacksteel model I feel like I am walking into the lion's den here. ![]() Seriously, both Driver and The Professor hate these things!!! ![]() That said, even I am not a fan of this one. I really like the "old" style 6.75, it's one of my favorite B4B models. I agree with Roff on this one ( ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Your Avenger Blacksteel is the most recent one I have seen that I really like hence why I mentioned that particular model. But this 6.75 is frankly a monstrosity. I am glad I will be the proud owner of a normal 6.75 in a few weeks and the time can't come soon enough!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2 |

Some watches look fantastic in Blacksteel, such as an Avenger or the new Superocean Chrono but some look dreadful IMO. How many more Blacksteel 'Limited Editions' can we cope with. Hope Basel brings us something exciting and with all these rumours about new Colt, Chronomat bezel and GMT Nav can't wait to see something new and not just a black version of current models Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

No matter how tough they allegedly are, the surface coating can be damaged, and can also show signs of wear over time especially where moving parts are in contact with each other.... and there is no way to polish or otherwise repair the damage yourself. But the real issue for me nowadays is how Breitling have taken what was a (reasonably) unique concept with the first BS AS and then, like a child with a new toy, have gone completely bananas with the DLC idea, and coated practically everything in sight! I've genuinely lost track of how many BS variants there are out there now. (I'm half expecting to see DLC'd rubber straps, or DLC hats before long!! ![]() |
