Just bought this Shark with full box and papers from 1992, it was purchased in Germany. Looks like they took the bezel and just modernized it and put it on the SO44.

Hi Joshua,

Do you think its wearable as is, or does the degraded lume make it hard to look at close up? Hard to tell from the photos but has the lume created a halo on the back of the crystal or on the face of the watch? Would make a nice little restoration project as its all there, yes!

I wore it for a whole day and it seemed fine, none of the lime works at all. Also the problems are with the dial itself, the movement has been fully serviced and runs flawlessly. The dial and the mineral glass are the only things that need to be changed. Not sure what I should do, fix it up and sell it, or sell it as a project.

Well you will make the right decision in the end. But for my 5 cents worth, I would keep it as a project for yourself. I think it could come up great with a bit of tlc.

After 1978 serial numbers were random, lower numbers don't mean earlier.
