Hi Gents,

I've got a friend interested in this:

He asked my opinion on it, and now I'm soliciting all of your expert opinions.

There were 1,000 produced so not that rare. Seller's retail price claims are bs. It's a 17 year old watch that suffers from the price dive that all gold watches suffer from.

Oops, I take it back, a bit of it at least.
I have just noticed that we are talking about a rose gold model here so the asking price MAY be a bit closer to reality.
Very difficult to stipulate a market value for these pieces as there are very few references to go by on the used market such as eBay.
The fact that it is solid gold does make it more valuable.
How much more? That is a good question.
It may be rare being a limited edition and in solid gold on top of it however the solid gold premium most likely makes it less desirable for majority of buyers.
All a matter of how much the seller is willing to let it go for and how much anyone is willing to pay for it.
If the seller is not in a hurry then it is as my signature says:
"It is just a matter of time" ;-)
