Hi everyone

Received a nice surprise when I arrived back at my apartment today a Breitling hat and letter with cool stamp on it,
Another plus side of training as a watchmaker, And also a limited picture from Greubel Forsey, the picture I had to buy though. But the hat come from Breitling as a gift. :) :lingsrock:

Hi yes its a good perk, And I have been in training for about a year and 4 months, And then I have another year or two at a shop to get more experience before I become the manager or my own workshop.

Awesome.
Where you working somewhere that did it already, or just decided to take the plunge an take a course?
Ive had a few mates quit mobile retail jobs and end up at Timpsons, and within weeks doing courses all paid for engraving and some watch repair work. Thought was so random because previously they had no interest in anything like that.

If you look at some of Joe's threads you'll see his journey. Our Joe is quite the star given that he is still very young to be training as a watchmaker.

Hi

Thanks Roff :) As Roff mentioned I make updates on my progress and how I started. It was something I have been interested in from a very young age and was helped a long the way by Breitling and some Independent shops so it was all planned and my hart was set on becoming a watchmaker. For me personally watchmaking is something you have to have a real passion for not just for watches but the whole package of the mechanics and the art the manufacture. :)
