Hey guys, I just received my new Chrono Avenger ( black ). The only concern to me is that it does not look very black, it looks kinda like dark blue.
I also heard the watch is discontinued( I do feel lucky I can get one).
So could anyone tell me my worry is unnecessary or.......?

Thanks guys , have a good one!!!

My black dial CA kinda looks on the greyish side, but looks black.

Your are probably seeing the "blueish" tint from the AR at certain angles. There should be an angle that you can see the dial without an reflection, as if you are looking directly at the dial without anything in between.

Curt,

I take what I said back.... looking during the bright sun, there's some point where the dial looks very dark blue. It's not the AR tint :-)

So the dial is black, but I guess the dial make up kinda has a hint of dark blue to it.

Thanks Roadcarver for your info.

I still have another question for you. Yesterday, when I was checking my Chrono Avenger I found there's a little tiny scratch in the center of the sapphire glass( I had to look very close to see it!) ,and the same as the back of the case(it came without having any plastic wrapping). My question is, should I refund the watch or just keep it? ( it seems to me like a watch which had a long shelf time.) I do realize Breitling discontinued making the C.A. I might never to have a nice watch like this again, the design is so good!!!

I m so confused. I would appreciate it if u could help me with this !!!
U take care

Where did you purchase the watch? Grey dealer or through an AD?

In either case, if it is still under warranty, show it to the person who sold it to you and see if they can get it replaced.

Sometimes its just a tough water spot on the AR. Get a micro fibre cloth, and use some water or better, eye glass cleaner and wipe it. See if the "scratch" is removed.

At one point, I thought the AR on mine was also scratched. I used my thumb to remove it, and it didn't work. After using the cleaner and micro fibre cloth it is removed.

Don't worry about the plastic. Some ADs remove it upon receiving them. As long as there are no scratches on the case back, you're fine.
