I have given my husband the Aviastar... after wearing it for a few minutes it started up and seems to be running fine, however, we cannot get the stopwatch to work. Does it need more juice (need to be on your wrist longer)?

Thanks!

Make sure you are pushing the top pusher in far enough... enough so that it 'clicks'. They are mechanical, not like a quartz chronograph.

To "juice" the watch, simple wind the crown clock-wise. If it needs to be unscrewed first, do that. :) It might need to be wound up a bit first.. give it a good 30-40 winds to start.

That was it... we weren't pushing it in far enough!

Thank you so much!!! Looks like everything is working so far. I got it back from the watch shop today, they set the insurance replacement value at $3,500. (I paid $2,010 for it.)

Again, thanks for all the help. I think I have a very happy hubby. :D
