Post subject:  My first Breitling!

After months of research I decided to purchase the Colt Automatic II. I was tempted to go with the current trend and purchase a "large" watch but the Colt felt comfortable on my small wrist.

I love the weight of the watch as it adds presence without being uncomfortable. The blue grooved dial is spectacular and pictures do not do this watch justice.

I don't think I will buy another watch by any other brand now as Breitling just seems solid and sturdy and looks like it can take some punishment.

I will now be saving up for the Superocean Heritage 38 (another excellent watch for small wrists), it looks stunning and it’s also unique. However I notice there is no protection for the crown - is this an issue?

That is a really good choice, I was choosing between that one and the Cockpit that I ended up getting, the cockpit won for me because I really like the big date feature!
Would love to see pictures of your new pride and joy!

Nice pick up, and welcome to the Breitling club.

As far as the 38 is concerned, my wife has one as her knockabout watch and I was concerned about the same thing, but so far the crown is fine. It is screwdown of course.

The only problem that she has noticed is that marks on the bezel are fairly noticeable - she has a few scratches, and while it doesn't scratch through the colour it does look a little obvious, and not sure how to deal with that.
