HI again -

Just a quickie...

Will an 879A brushed steel bracelet fit my chronomat late - bothe have the refences 20 -18

and more to the point should I buy a strap that isn't supposed to be on that watch - should be a pilot bracelet (300A?)

What do you guys think

I dont know the exact models youre referring to, but the answer to your title, is a huge NO! Although the lug width may be the same, the end links (last piece of the bracelet that attaches to the case) are usually very different. You need the correct end links to fit your particular watch.

I'd agree with the comment "If the strap fits buy it"...... provided it actually does fit!! If you are talking about straps (i.e. leather or rubber) then it's only lug width you need to worry about. However in this case you are talking about a bracelet, and as RJRJRJ quite rightly said, even if the lug width is the same, unless the end-link are EXACTLY correct for the watch in question then the bracelet is unlikly to fit.

The "mix and match" bracelet/watch option I know of that fits exactly is the Pilot bracelet fitting the B-1.

My advice - stick to the bracelets designed for your watch. It could be an expensive experiment if you buy in error.
