Hey guys, been away from B'ling for a while, sold my SOC and SA a while back, and missed them. Well today, my grail arrived. Little story behind this watch:

Last year my wife and I visited Italy and stayed in Venice, Tuscany, and Positano. While in Venice, it rained every day. So we spent one afternoon sitting at the Flourian cafe in St.Marks square, drinking overpriced champagne, and 12 euro cappuchinos. After several hours, we wandered down the way to one of the watch boutiques. the gentlemen were kind and gracious and showed me several watches. I fell in love with the Breitling for Bentley Motors with copper dial. I couldn't buy it at the time knowing that the visa bills for the trip would be waiting when I got home, but I've been lusting for the watch since.

Well now at age 38, my wife and I are expecting our first baby in Dec. Last week my wife said to me that she wanted me to have the "watch from Venice" to commemorate our baby's birth and serve as a reminder of that wonderful trip. So after a week of shopping, I got this one on eBay from a reputable seller. As soon as I bought it, my brother-in-law called and told me that he remembered the story of the watch in Venice and wanted to buy it for me for a gift to commemorate the baby! Him too!! So now this watch represents a great trip, a soon-to-be baby, and the generosity and graciousness of two people I love. No box or papers, but looks new condition and I have a 1 week return period. I'm 99.9 percent sure it is authentic. Hopefully you will agree. Date code is 4707

Thanks Justin! You bring up a good point... is there a bronze AND a copper dial version? Or are people using these two color terms to describe the same dial?

Even some retailers call it copper, and some call it bronze.

I just called it bronze since I know that's what you've been looking for. I know my AD refers to them as bronze dials. Either way, it's a beautiful watch.

Set up:
Wear watch
Light with desk lamp
Turn on camera in auto, no flash
Shoot

and here is the funny part... it is a video camera!

Yes these pics were shot with my new Sony HDR-SR12 hard drive video camera, which also takes 10mp still shots. I was very impressed with the image quality too. Really point and shoot. I've always been a fan of Sony cameras, but their latest crop of camera are excellent for Macro photography.

:lol: naw I love wrist shots. you can distinctly see my arm hairs in mine as well.. i have several Sony Cameras.. including a dSLR. Love 'em! :mrgreen:

Im in full agreement with you here! Ive taken the below shot (and numerous other beauties) with my Sony T2, which is the super compact point and shoot with the internal lens that doesnt protrude.. I have been nothing but impressed with it..

I agree, I also use a Sony T-100 (size of a deck of cards) and it blows me away.

I tried the new Sony Alpha 14mp DSLR and returned it. I didn't like the colour balance or saturation and found that when compared pixel to pixel with my 8mp DSC-F828 there was no advantage, in fact the 828 was superior in almost all respects. But still the compacts seem to have better light gathering due to the steady shot allowing longer shutter speeds without shake.
