I haven't worn my 98 SuperOcean since 2001 when I lost a couple of links from the bracelet.

I pulled it out of the safe a few days ago thinking I would send it in and have the bracelet fixed and watch serviced. I was looking at the paperwork and noticed something strange: the warranty book indicates the serial number is 19551, whereas the watch is marked 19451.

I never noticed it before and the watch has been to Breitling CT twice previously. Odd, huh?

I wonder how much notice people take of these things. You would think someone would have spotted that error after two visits to Breitling. I guess it depends on the instances of having the paperwork and watch in the same place at the same time.

Like all data, it only becomes important when its relied on. You have not noticed it in the past as there would be no reason to. Although, it always pays to check data entry, especially across the counter.
