I was in an ADs today talking through a few different things and the subject of the Bentley Le Mans came up. The guy I was talking to couldn't remember what it looked like so went in back to pull out his dealer book from a few years back.

Imagine my surprise when he showed me the options.......

There were the black, blue and white versions that we all knew of, and the reddish brown / bronze one that we recently learned of. That's it right - 250 of each, 1,000 in total.

Well according to the dealer book there were also solid yellow gold versions of the black, blue and white ones - but not the brown / bronze one. No indication of how many, or if they are part of the 250 or in addition to, but I had no idea that there were gold versions of this watch.

Based on the bracelet / strap options the watch only came with Speed in either steel or 18K yellow gold so clearly this was an expensive piece, which makes me think likely only around 10 of each, but a gold Le Mans would be cool (though I'd have to put it on croc - too much gold otherwise).

There's a white one available in my back yard. If anyone is interested i could meet the guy and take a look.

Roff, I believe there were just 24 made in total in gold. (24 for the 24 hours of Le Mans).

I didn't know about the dial options, so if there were only 3 colours, I guess it was 8 black, 8 blue and 8 white. Personally I'd have thought that bronze would've been a better choice with gold than the blue dial..... but who knows - I've not seen a gold one myself.

There is 3 limited series of gold ones - 24 of EACH.
