I'd hate to be the guy who uses RED loctite. Good luck getting those suckers out again. If anything you'd have to take a torch to release them.

I ended up taking them to Breitling in Toronto and they said it should be ready tomorrow. After all the headache and scare it put me through the first time I didn't feel right about trying my luck again at it.

Does the bezel removal procedure the same with the Chrono avenger as there are multiple slotted screws around the bezel.

yup. then it just pops off. All those screws do is push out a latch like clip that holds onto the face. I'm probably doing a terrible job at describing it.

Sorry to hear that. Do you have access to using an ultrasonic cleaner?

If not, try brushing with soapy water, and blowing with compressed air.

Sorry Brian, but you can NEVER put a watchcase in the ultrasonic while the movement is in it! The lubrication in the jewels, would vibrate right out! So, that's a big no no!

Vanessa

Thanks for the tip!

FYI: got my watch back all fixed up. Overnight job, nice and quick, and now I can sleep soundly.
