I never sleep with my watch on. Invariably they all go into the watch-winder overnight, although I don't usually have it on, especially if I've been wearing it and plan to wear it again the next day. It's just a handy place to keep them. So yeah, my watches have their own bed too!

Edit - Or just on the night stand (and WELL away from my mobile phone!) if I'm away from home.

If ive "brought somebody home with me" I wear it to bed. Just in case she decides to try and rob me...

A friend of mine had his computer stolen by someone he brought home. At least she didn't steal his innocence, I guess. :lol:

Always take mine off when I go to bed - don't need to tell the time when I'm asleep and I don't see the point in risking a bent springbar or something if you lay awkwardly. Not sure whether I would say that the watches have a bed - night stand if they aren't in a winder.

I take mine off too. As Roff says, no need to check the time while sleeping. That, and I don't want to risk hitting the wife with the watch during sleep.

Fortunately I've not experienced it myself, but apparently mobile phones have quite a strong magnetic field and have caused watches to become magnetised. I believe it's just from close, constant, prolonged and static exposure - i.e. like over night on a nightstand - but apart from that it's fine. I tend to carry my phone in my left pocket which is obviously on my "watch side" and about the same height as my wrist, and I've never had any magnetisation problems.

Well, I always wear my watches on steel bracelet or rubber strap overnight, NATO and leather strap watches (very rarely worn!) are on the night table. I usually choose watches with excellent luminosity and as a superficial sleeper I'm frequently half-awake, wanting to know the time. This might slowly change by getting my eyes aging. Now I found myself having a radio controlled watch with projector on the wall and seem to prefer peeping at that. Next step might be in another few years getting an Aerospace and using the minute repeater when too lazy to open my eye-lid... actually I don't know how loud is that at night-time, afraid waking up my wife or my daughters. Let me have another few years and I'll tell ya what will have happened. Regards: Robertus

I had heard LA was a bit rough in places but I guess that could happen any where! Me? - mine live on the nightstand when I'm away or on a cushion/watch stand on the livingroom sideboard when at home. Still thinking about a winder and only have 1 auto at present.

Usually I put mine on it's own little pillow on my desk. My wrist needs a break as much as the watch does. However, whenever I bring home a new watch, I wear it to bed the first few nights -- just so I can check out the lume. Steve

I have a Breitling polishing cloth on my nightstand. Watch goes on that. I used to wear my Colt 24/7 including in bed but no longer do.

Mine goes to sleep in the watch box, often after a little wipe with the cloth that also lives in there. RJ - good point. Worth nothing that insurance usually doesn't cover theft by someone you've invited onto the premises. A friend of mine had his computer stolen by someone he brought home. At least she didn't steal his innocence, I guess.
