I am the proud new owner of this... One of the nicest watches I have ever put on my wrist, and I couldn't be more happy.

I have to ask about one thing though? When the watch arrived I needed to add a few links which I did with no issues. I then needed to move the Micro Adjustment on the Bracelet. This is where it all went very bad. What is up with the bleeping pin? It has a Spring and a tip that was lost as soon as I popped the pin off to move the micro adjustment. I was saying every kind of curse word known to man. I looked on my floor forever, but never did find it. Luckily I had a pin that fit from another bracelet that was much easier to work with. I would really like someone to tell me why does Breitling use these typ pins for the micro adjustments, and is that with all Bretling bracelets or just the Ti ones.

It sounds like the spring bar broke, they shouldn't come apart.

I had that same thing happen on an older clasp micro-adjust, fortunately I had another one that fit.

Just ask an AD and see if they can let you have some. You can order from laces like ofrei.com, but AD is easier. Not sure on the diameter of the clasp spring bar, but you can measure the part that you have left.

Pity about the spring bar twostirish222. Not the first time recently someone has mentioned this as an issue with their watch on this forum. If you want to know the size, measure across the gap between the lugs in millimetres for a replacement length, or if you have a Breitling Chronolog that lists the SA, it will be listed as the Interhorn width. I think its 24mm.

It's not the interhorn width, and it's not 24mm, that's at the lugs. The width is 20mm at the clasp, but that's the easy measurement, the hard one is the diameter and I don't know whether clasp spring bars are the same as lug spring bars in terms of diameter.

If you had callipers he could probably measure it. But that does not easily come to hand for most. Measuring the distance between the lugs is straight forward with a rule.

Lug width is completely irrelevant to the OP's problem.

A Chrono Avenger bracelet (in fact any Breitling bracelet) has two sets of spring bars. At the lugs the length is 22mm (not 24) and the diameter is 1.6mm for bracelets, 1.8mm for straps. At the clasp (which is where the OP's broke) the spring bar is 20mm long and an unknown (to me) diameter. It is probably 1.6mm but I don't know and don't want to provide misinformation.

The vast majority of spring bars increase in diameter in 0.2mm steps so if the OP doesn't have calipers he can get an approximation by laying the spring bar on a rule - not exact, but likely good enough to get to the required 0.2mm degree of accuracy. Alternatively, if the OP has a tool to remove the bracelet from the head (Bergeon 6767F or similar) then he can compare the broken spring bar diameter with the known 1.6mm diameter of the lug spring bar.

Thanks alot guys. I live a few miles from Govberg's in Philadelphia. I will try and get over there one day this upcoming week.

Here is a pic of the broken springbar, and to think I thought Breitling created a crazy spring bar in shich I needed to put the broken piece back in the end. Once again thanks for all your help.

Congrats on a great watch! I bought mine new in 2007, and wear it all the time. Your blue dialed one is one you don't see very often. Wear it good health.

It's exactly 13 days ago I received the watch. I set this to the time.gov website, and it is currently at +5 seconds. That is absolutley amazing. it basicaly is gaining about .38 seconds a day. Do most automatic Breitling's keep this good a time?

One more thing to add is that it has not left my wrist in the 13 days neither.

They are COSC certified (-4 / +6 seconds per day), but sounds like yours is doing very well so far. Bear in mind that accuracy can be affected by a lot of different factors so it may vary slightly over time.
