While in a few ADs over the weekend I tried on a few models and really none jumped out at me. I am not a fan of the fan of the rubber bezel. I have no liking for spending KKK on a watch and getting rubber, I want ceramic, platinum even steel. Not rubber. The new SO was out when I pulled the trigger on my SF but even then I knew I preferred the SF and even after today's excursions I think I would head SF way in fact I am happy I done so. Funny to me because time should heel such disliking for a new model much like how the 01 chronomat has grown on me.

So how do you feel SF or SO44, old or new?

For me, Steelfish all the way. The only newer Superocean I like is the heritage range. And the styling of the new superocean, to me, doesn't even for in with the rest of the model line. It kind if stands out from the rest, in an awkward sort of fashion. Just my POV.

I think the new superocean was a huge step down from the steelfish. The steelfish has aged wonderfully and still looks amazing to me today.

No brainer, Steelfish.

Not even close. SOSF everytime. I'd probably buy a SF in each dial colour before even considering the SO44 if I could only choose between the two watches.

Steelfish. Every. Single. Time.

The Steelfish was an absolute classic IMO, and the SO44 just.... isn't. I've had 3 SOSF's and wish I still had one now, but I have no desire at all for an SO44.

I guess another model not helped by breitlings ridiculous pricing.

SO44 on proII 3450 euro and 3610 on proIII

The new SuperOcean reminds me of a mix between the 80-90's Shark (A17605) and the Colt Ocean (A17350). I like both watches but not a big fan of the new SuperOcean merging styles from both. The rubber in the bezel just cheapens the look. My opinion, go Steelfish.

I only voted to see if someone actually voted for the SO44! That no one has "nearly" restores my faith in humanity. "Nearly" derives from the question being asked. :(

The new SO is good looking IMO. It looks refreshing and sporty that I might have gotten it if I am filthy rich and already have all the classics in my collection to add variety. But it's not the case for me and to have to spend a premium for a luxury watch that is not really within my comfortable financial means I would prefer something that looks a little more classic and not so "fashionable" looking since it's going to be long term.
