Hello to you all. I'm a newcomer both in the watch world and this forum in particular. I'm thinking about buying a navitimer 01 and yesterday I came across a Navitimer 01 Limted Edition with a black dial that is 40mm wide in diameter. I took a look at the Breitling website but this model isn't shown. Can anyone tell me the exact reference of this watch? I need to send it to an online store in order to find out if they can get it for me, at what price so that I can compare with my localk retailer price.
thanks.

There's no such watch.

The Navitimer 01 is only available as a 43mm model in regular and LE versions (LE has a display back and a couple of minor differences) - http://www.breitlingsource.com/watch_de ... r_235.html

There's a Montbrillant 01 that is 40mm, could it be that? - http://www.breitlingsource.com/watch_de ... t_263.html

Welcome to breitlingSource.

Hi!Thanks for your prompt answer. You'be been very helpful.

In fact I got a little bit confused when the lady at the shop told me it was a Navitimer 01: I may not be a conoisseur but I trust my research capabilities and the only recent 40 mm LE I came across was the Montbrillant with a white display (I also saw this 1998 Montblillant made of gold https://www.chrono24.pt/breitling/montb ... 69924.html ).

Nevertheless I'm going back to the store this evening to clear this issue, because it is also a fact that I tried the watch on my wrist, it looked like a Nav 01 and it had a black display, Saphire back showing the mechanism, white date (as in the normal limited edition 43mm Nav 01), but is was in fact 40mm. Very intriguing!!!

Is there any way to identify the machine as a B01?

Once again I thank you for your help.

Cheers

If it's a B01 movement then the model number will start AB01 (for stainless).

I meant visually looking at the machine... do you think it could be a forgery? I can't even imagine this store having a fake watch... it would really be shamefull... I'll take some picutres tonight and share them with you for you opinion.

Once again thanks!

If it's an AD it's real, otherwise there is always a risk. Post pictures and we'll tell you for sure.
