The watch is excellent! It uses the 78 calibre which is awesome, and is a super quartz. All the functions that you'll ever need and then some more. The look is great, it's not a fashion watch like what you see these days people are wearing it's more classic and functional. Enjoy the watch, and wear it in good health. BTW, we love photos around here ![]() |

Thanks This is the A68362 model that came with A68 - nonSQ COSC, but when it received the full service from the service centre they changed the whole movement, so prob to the SQ now. Can't confirm until I get the watch in hand. |

I wear an Airwolf, and love the B-1 as part of the heritage that became my watch. Every once in a while, I run into a B-1 owner, and always comment on it. I wouldn't hesitate to own and wear one myself, if I didn't already have the Airwolf, which I also prefer but not by much. |

Who cares if it is dated? IMO, there are many older Breitlings that I find more appealing than the newer models. |

I immensely love my B-1. It's the most versatile watch I've ever owned and my daily wearer. Leather in winter, rubber in spring and fall, bracelet on summer. Can't go wrong with it. Sent from my SGS using Tapatalk. |

If the movement was changed it will now be SQ.[/quote] seems excessive to change/update the movement, is that standard? |

I have an Airwolf and a B-1. Both great watches. Same functions and functionality. The Airwolf is a bit bulkier, but the shape and relative proportions of the case are much more beautiful imho. Many object to the cut off 6, and so do I. Many object to the compass bezel, and in concept so do I, except it's funny...the Airwolf bezel is *more readable* for me for practical purposes because it has clearly different demarkations at E, S, and W. The B-1 has a reverse timing bezel with without the clear landmarks...I just find it takes a split second less to register time-lapsed when handling the Airwolf. Overall I prefer the Airwolf, becuase of the shape and relative proportion of the case, even though I generally like more sober and "put together" virtues that make the B-1 a classic. Also, the shape of the caseback is slightly different on these two watches. Both alarms are equally loud off-wrist, but on my wrist, the Airwolf caseback shape creates an air gap for the sound to get out and the vents to do their job. With the B-1 it doesn't work quite as well in this regard. It seems that the B-1 is going to be a classic and the Airwolf is going to be a footnote at best. So if that matters to you then then it's all about the B-1 for sure. |

Awesome pics as always, Ron. SCD wrote: It seems that the B-1 is going to be a classic and the Airwolf is going to be a footnote at best. So if that matters to you then then it's all about the B-1 for sure. Ehh... yeah, I suppose I could see that becoming true. I was surprised at the speed of which the Airwolf was phased out. I really thought that was going to stick around as a model for much longer. I could see it being accurate that the B-1 is going to be more of a classic than the Airwolf. I guess I kind of like, though, that my Airwolf is a rarity of Breitlings, especially with the co-pilot module, without being a very strange watch. |

I disagree with the Airwolf non-classic opinion. I think both watches are similar enough that they are both classic, timely, and great multi-function time pieces. When I was ready to dip my toes into the Breitling pool for the first time, a few factors led to my getting the Airwolf OVER the B-1 (which was my introduction into the world of Breitling): the Pro II bracelet, the easy to read bezel (how much do you use the bezel, anyway), and the fact that all Airwolf's are SQ, while not all B-1s are. I also love the pushers on the Airwolf. The biggest drawback for me on the Airwolf over the B-1 is the design on the face - with the Airwolf, it's either the pinstripes (like mine) or the sunburst. I love the plain look on the B-1 face. |
