I guess that this is technically off topic, but there is no one that says Breitling more - the man that drove the creation of the Cosmonaute.

Scott Carpenter passed away this morning - http://www.cbc.ca/news/world/scott-carp ... -1.1959330

Thoughts with his family and friends.

Sad news indeed. He had an amazing life during an iconic age : for those of you who are unfamiliar with his acheivements it's definitely worth reading up about his life.

A take on probably his most iconic quote would seem appropriate - Godspeed, Scott Carpenter.

Met then man twice. Last time in 2012 @ the NYC Boutique event honoring him. Spent a few minutes with him talking "Navy". Truly a great man, and easily personable. He lit up when I told him we served on the same ship, and traded stories about morning coffee on one of the forward sponsons. He shall be missed by this old salt.
