Hi guys,

I'm currently looking to purchase my first Breitling, and although I am a watch collector, I have a very limited knowledge of the Breitling brand.

I was just wondering if someone could please explain to me exactly what a 'Antares World' Breitling is? I have seen a number of these for sale (pre owned) at reasonable prices (typically £600 - £800), but I was just curious as to what 'Antares World' meant.. it kind of makes it sound as though it came free with a magazine, lol.

Any info would be much appreciated.

Thank you

Russ

Simply a version of the Antares model with a second time zone which Breitling frequently refer to as 'World'. Comes from the early to mid 90s - http://www.breitlingsource.com/watch_de ... der_7.html

:welcome: (Just beaten by Roff!)

The Antares and Antares World were part of the Windrider range sold by Breitling in the early/mid 1990s. The Antares is a simple 3 hand design (h/m/s) whereas the World has an additional GMT hand.

Being old and small (compared to contemporary designs), their value is relatively low but have the same movement (albeit not COSC) as the current Avenger II GMT.
