Hello gang,
I have a question. What does it mean that a calendar is programmed for 4 years? What happens after 4 years? Does it needs to be re-programmed? Caliber 79 btw. Thanks in advance.

A four year calendar can't handle February 29th. However, I thought that the Aerospace had a full perpetual calendar - i.e. does recognise Feb 29th. An owner will be able to confirm.

Aerospace only has four-year calendar. From the manual: "Note: the calendar is programmed to provide the exact date during a full leap-year cycle of four years, thus requiring a correction every February 29 only."

There you go then - I thought that it was a true perpetual, but these quartz ones are a bit of an enigma for me.

It's about ten seconds out after four years so you can sort that at the same time. :D

The B-1 and its heritage are perpetuals. The Aerospaces are not. Different movements with different functions (this applies also to the chronograph).

What are the differences in functions? I know the chrono on the B-1 can go for 99 days, what other differences?
