Hello guys,
I recently purchased a Transocean Chrono Unitime and it is having some issues. Needless to say, the dealer sent it back for repair, and I may have a chance to exchange it for another piece.
What are anyone's thoughts on the Navitimer 1461 versus the Transocean Chrono Unitime? Reasons to buy one over the other?

I initially bought the Unitime because I travel abroad every other week and I want to use the 24 hour time zones. But, the Navitmer 1461 looks so sharp as well. Is the 1461 an in house movement now?

Thanks for your assistance!

Forgot to mention, I have large wrists and I need at least 46mm case other wise the watch looks quite small on me. I looked at the Navitimer World as well.....

The 1461 is not an in house movement but its a gorgeous watch!! I wish my wrists were a bit bigger so I could pull it off.

Well from what you have described the issue with your Unitime is a very easy fix, but clearly you aren't happy with the watch. I would be highly surprised if you are allowed to exchange it, but sounds like you would be happier with the 1461 if they so allow it.

Hey thanks guys! Does anyone have any experience with the Chronospace Automatic? I just realized the water resistance on the Navitmer 1461 and the Navitimer World are only 3 Bars. I am used to a little more of water resistance, more of a "just in case" I fall into water or get caught in a down pour in Asia (which has happened to me quite frequently). Anyway, the Chronospace Automatic has a whopping 200m water resistance! I know what the ratings mean so I won't be diving in it, but it seems more tough to me, and I am a military guy so it may suit me better. Any thoughts??
And Roff, you may be correct, but I spoke to the AD and he seemed willing to do "anything" to make me happy, so I plan on trying to maybe get a swap going here with the dealer.

I have a Chronospace Auto - I like it, but it's probably my least worn Breitling. It's a Valjoux 7753 based movement, no troubles so far and wears well. I don't particularly like the Pro III bracelet and looking to order a custom strap that fits me a little better. Mine has Arabic numerals and they lume really nicely. I'm partial to the Transocean line though and if I had the Unitime, I would keep it over a Chronospace Auto.

Hey thanks for the info Absaroke! I went in today and looked at the Chronospace Automatic with black dial and ocean steel strap. It looks nice, but the brushed case and high polished bracelet don't look right together. I think I may keep the Unitime, especially since the AD just informed me Breitling is sending a new watch to replace the Unitime that was making a funny noise.
I guess I was having some buyers remorse, since I figured - and the AD confirmed - he would sell me the Chronospace Auto and a Seawolf for almost the same price as the Unitime alone. I think I am better off with just the Unitime though. Any thoughts on that from anyone?
Thanks again for all the input guys, really helps me to think things through here.
