Post subject:  New Breitling owner and new to the forum!

Hello everyone.
I thought I would join the forum as I have proudly today,22/09, become a Breitling owner!
I am the proud owner now of a 2008 windrider cockpit, Stainless steel with a beautiful white/silver dial.

I have a friend and client for whom I have been working with who decided he was really happy with the work I have been doing so wanted to say thanks with a new Breitling!

So today we went to a First rate AD here in Vancouver(Time and Gold) and not only did I get mine but at the same time he decided to treat himself as well! He got the 2007 cockpit TT rose gold with white dial, a beautiful looking watch as well!

I am astounded by the quality and finish of my new watch, I really like the case shape and love the big date feature, I have never been a fan of date magnifiers so this is the perfect answer!

I would heartily recommend Time and Gold if you are in Vancouver, first rate service from them!
Here are a couple of shots of my new pride and joy, Hope you enjoy them!

Welcome and congratulations!

That's excellent! I never really liked the new Cockpit when I've seen pics of it in the Chronolog, but seeing it on your wrist completely changes that. It's beautiful!

Welcome to our little group of Breitling afficionados. I didn't
realize the Cockpit had such a classy look. The white dial makes
all the difference in the world. Enjoy your new treasure. :)

That is a pretty pretty watch. I've never really looked at that model as something I would want, but your pics have changed my mind. Stunning!

Thanks so much everyone for your warm welcome and kind thoughts!

I am really glad I chose this model, I love the understated looks and the dial colour is perfect for me! I love the way it changes from a warm silver to a creamy white, it looks very 1920's to me! The size is perfect as well, 41 mm, not too big and not too small!

The bracelet as I am sure you all know is really comfortable.
I would love to see a picture of the movement, I have searched but has come up blank.

I think one thing I will do at some point is get a Breitling leather strap just so as to vary the look, not sure if a dark brown or black would be best?
Thanks once again and I hope to be an active member of the forum!

Yes, I agree with you! I was less than impressed seeing it on the website but the dial really wins you over in person, especially the way they have done the colour, I have never seen a white dial that changes subtly in colour in differing lighting, lovely!

Congrats, it looks great on your wrist!

I admit, I didn't like the look initially as well, but seeing the wrist pic makes a big difference.

I guess im in the minority...I thought the new dial looked great the first time I saw the pic.

BTW, was it you that asked the question about it on WUS and I mentioned the new dial? (im clearly too lazy to go look through my posts)

You can go for both a brown and a black leather strap, I think. If you get one of them on a deployant and the other one "loose", you can easily switch them as you like.

twas indeed me sir! Christmas came early, it was quite a shock, I thought we were just off to look at them again! I tried old and new and in the end this dial just took my breath away!
By the way, I noticed this morning that the case had a few small scratches, I popped back to the AD and they buffed them out for me, looks perfect now!
This AD is great, they service Breitlings on site and also give an extra years warranty once the standard two years is up!
