Post subject: | Where to find a brushed Blackbird? |
Last Saturday I stopped by a local AD who only has the polished model in stock but said they could order the brushed model. Since I was not prepared to buy that day (have to wait for funds from sale of my Seiko Marine Master), I didn't place the order. I then talked to a out-of town AD who said it is almost impossible to find the brushed model now. Even if they could find one, it would be sold at the list price if not more. Is this brushed model discontinued? Does any one know where I can get one at good discount from list price? |

i have serious doubts that this is true and i would not pay over list (or even list) for it.. you can try the group buy thread if you have a contact in the US to avoid customs charges... but generally i would try to call other AD's out of province.. good luck |

The BB has been brushed since its introduction in the 90's. The polished version is the new addition, so I cant see how the brushed version could all of the sudden be so hard to find. |

Agreed, the new polished one is in addition to the brushed. Sounds to me more like Breitling is trying to limit production of the brushed until the polished establishes market share. |

Hey Kwoksun, I sent you a PM. Good luck and hope you can get a brushed Blackbird soon. You certainly should not have to pay more than the list price. My AD told me that it is still a current item. Cheers, Carl |

The watchseller.com has one on there front web page. Seems reasonable I don't really know what list is. I just recieved a black Superocean Heritage 46 today from them. I have purchased, traded and sold watches with David. I have always been treated fairly and have always recieved what I expected. Give them a look. |
