I've lusted for one for a couple of years and finally took the plunge. Wish I had done so sooner. Absolutely love it. Extremely comfortable on rubber deploy.

It has taken me 4 long years, but I think I'm definitely "going Buck" as I'm finally finding myself liking more and more versions of the Chronomat 01 (or Chronomat 44 as I now should say).

Huh... I wouldn't have thought of the blue-face and blue rubber strap as being ok for a Chrono 01, but that looks sporty!

Thank you! I really like the way it looks and wears on the rubber/deployant.

I remember you being very sceptical towards the Buck Rogers bezel... Hahaha... Well personally, if I could design the bezel by myself, I would design it differently. But the watch as such, the dial, the movement, the "aura" is fantastic and the bezel as one detail simply neglectable. Brand building? I mean, if Breitling managed to reduce their quality issues (obviously minor) to zero-dot-zero, I as a buyer would even accept a damn ugly bezel. However, this bezel is far beyond ugly anyway. As soon as I took the plunge with my Chronomat 41, I am going to check if I can have the bezel de-polished to a matt shining. My friend is goldsmith, he might do it for me.

Very nice watch, by the way! Enjoy this perfect beauty!

 Yeah I was very sceptical and scathing of the Buck font when it came out (and for years afterwards), and although I'm now coming round to it, the fact that it's taken me 4 years since it was released to even start to appreciate it, still says to me that it was a seriously polarising design move by Breitling. And yes, I'd agree with you that if I was designing a bezel myself, I'd have gone a different way, but Breitling went Buck and 4 years later it's grown on me (and not like athlete's foot! )

@OP - Looks good on rubber as it takes the bling on the polished version down a notch.... or eight!

I'm a huge fan of Breitling's rubber deployant combo and I find it more comfortable than the other options.

I was skeptical of buck myself until I got a look at it in person. Looks pretty good. Then I took a look at the brushed bezels on the chronomat gmt's. Now that somehow takes the looks from good to awesome.
