Hi to one and all! Looks like you guys know more about Breitlings than the guys who make them...

I have been a proud owner of Rolex bi metallic yacht masters since 2000, having lost my mid size in 2006 and purchased the full size in 2007, both beautiful time pieces and has saved me god knows how much time window shopping because I thought this was the final word in watch craftsmanship.... Ok so here is my dilemma... Yachtmaster has stopped working and needs to go back to be serviced which will take about six weeks, looking for replacements I saw a Bremont for £9000 (a little out of my reach!) and I also found this lovely Bluebird for £1250... Reading the history and the rareness of this piece fascinated me and I have got first refusal when the guy returns from vacation and will be handing over the cash if you can confirm the authenticity of it, I love the fact that there was only 250 made and it was all about the Blackbird of which I can remember seeing cutting through the clouds in my childhood at farnbourgh air show!

The guy who owns it now said he thought the limited bit was because it is not polished! What a waste, I will proudly tell everyone the history!

Thanks in advance

It's the true Bluebird LE rather than the non limited blue dial version and is perfectly real. Welcome to BreitlingSource.

Thanks for the answers, what do you think of the price?

Sorry, I don't do pricing. It should have a small premium over regular Chronomats of the era and there are plenty of comparables for those in the sold listings on eBay or dealer asking prices on Chrono24 (remembering that actual sale price is usually lower).
