I own a SA and I wear it a lot and I like it to look nice and shiny with no marks or smudges etc. Would it be a good idea to wear it in the bath with me so it gets a good wash everyday or is submerging it in water every day a bad idea? Also starting to notice lots of scratches on the bracelet and clasp which is really irritating but I understand I have to accept that this is part and parcel of having this type of bracelet |

I use a bit of dawn dish soap in my hands with water and make it sudsy. Clean the watch. Rinse and dry with a soft microfiber. Squeaky clean and shiny. |

I spray each half of the bracelet with a bit of Windex over a soft cloth and then wipe the watch down. It's amazing the amount of perspiration, etc. that comes out of the bracelet. |

I never wear a watch in the bath or shower, scum, soap debris etc. plus the fact that hot water will affect gaskets and seals. Wash your watch with cold water and mild soap and rinse well then dry with a microfibre cloth. Use a soft tooth brush to de-crud the bracelet. Daily wear will result in scratches etc. Use a cape cod cloth to polish shiny bits and a scotchbrite on brushed bits. Use these gently and carefully . Plenty of posts on how to do this |

Occasionally, take off metal bracelets and soak in mild detergent for a few days (if you can put aside the watch for a while). Use a plastic tub with a lid and shake occasionally while soaking. Amazing how much grease & dirt comes out with a good soak. |

I swim and shower with my super avenger, and my seawolf and blackbird. My Navitimer doesn't come close to touching water. It all depends on the water resistance ratings, however the steam and soap could be an issue. I also found that washing or cleaning my SA too much can also attribute to minor swirling on the bracelet. 1 a week or as needed I think is sufficient for cleaning, and a microfiber cloth or eyeglass cleaning cloth works great for polishing out fingerprints and the like. Many topics on this and the general advice is diluted dish soap or Simple Green and a soft toothbrush. The problem with bath / shower is the steam and extreme temperature changes, much better to use gently running water. |

Oh, I forgot to mention. I never shower with one of my Breitlings! But I do with other watches where I trust the seals. Nothing ever happens in my shower, so it never gets steamy. ![]() |

I wet wipe whatever watch I put on in the morning with warm water on a microfiber cloth. Crystal and lugs/bracelet if polished, just crystal if brushed. I rarely have to actually clean them, but if I do I use Dos Equis...err...Simple Green, a clean microfiber and warm water from the faucet. And regardless of the W/R I make sure crown and pushers are always "up stream." Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Ok guys, no bath for my Breitling. Is it ok to clean it with some warm water and like a liquid hand wash every day ? That must be very mild since its for your skin |
