HI all - New to the forum.

I am looking at a 17380 colt II on a pilot bracelet.Looks terrific, BUT... Does the group think that would help or hurt its value? Doesn't have original bracelet anymore.

It was changed by the PO because he liked the look.
Was wondering what the group would say on this.
Thanks Much.
Chris

I don't see how it will hurt value as long as it fits properly. I'd be a bit surprised if it was as good a fit as it should be simply because the end links and case aren't designed to fit together.

The pilot bracelet is a lot more expensive than the one designed for the watch so you may also be able to sell the bracelet separately down the road and sell the watch on strap.

Welcome to BreitlingSource.

Thanks for that. Im sure it's not right for true collectors, but it's more important that I like than others, yes?
Also he wants $1600 for it-no box or papers- it is mint-
Sound fair?

Yes, its up to you what strap you have on the watch on. You might be able to get the original braclet later on, if you want to sell the watch complete, but its no big deal really.

I always worry about no box, no papers. Everyone selling Breiltings second hand seem to understand the importance of these items, so I would ask the reasons why he does not have them, before I bought. I would need reassurances, as it would normamly be a turn off for me, at any price.

:welcome:

I think thats a bit high since they weren't that much more new in the carribbean (I got mine for less) I'd just pay the price for a colt head and maybe even try to get him to lower the price because its not the right bracelet. Maybe 1000-1300 is right but I think you could get a nice colt for under $1000
