Post subject:  Bummer - A Delay!

Just received this email from the guy that is coordinating the Breitling Group Buy for about 30 of us in my US Navy group...we have ordered custom dials and casebacks for the Aerospace.

"Just received an update from Breitling last week and they are slightly behind schedule.
The dials are expected to arrive this month and they are still awaiting the casebacks before they can begin assembly. They have assured me that they are attempting to expedite the order to ensure delivery by Christmas."

We ordered these in the Spring and they were supposed to be completed and delivered either in September or October. Just frustrated that now it sounds like they won't make it until Christmas...oh well, it will just be that much sweeter when they finally arrive I guess...just venting!

No big deal. Its very cool that you can get such a limited watch. Its even sweeter that the LE actually has some significance to you. Im jealous.

Sorry to hear about your delay, but on the other hand I'm glad that if you've ordered 30 pieces with custom dials and casebacks, then Roffensians work for persuading Breitling to do a LE sounds less impossible. :)

As Aleister said, really sorry to hear about your delay, but it gives the rest of us huge confidence that Breilting may go for an even more limited run on our proposed LE!

It will make it eventually...

Breitling said they would do the group buy with as few as 25...we ended up with 38.

The guy that set up our group buy said that the Breitling rep was super easy to work with and has done this many, many times. The only sticking point was that all the money had to be deposited by one person as a single purchase, so people could not pay individually. We were able to do this by having one person set up his bank account as the depository...we all transferred funds to his account via the number and then he made the payment. This obviously has to be someone you really trust, because he had nearly $75,000 in the account before paying!!

He could have been on a nice trip somewhere with that!!

Other than the wait, I think we will be happy with the finished product.

Can't wait to receive it...you will all have pictures the same day.

This is great! What custom color dial did you get Breitling to do for your Navy group on the Aerospace?

In remembrance of September 11th today, I would personally like to thank you and the rest of your boys in the Navy for all that you do. :usa:
