Today i brought my B-1 to my favorite AD for a well deserved service after almost 5 years from the previous one. Hopefully I'll have it back in late September.

She's the most versatile watch I ever had; I already miss her. some pictures follow.

With the Fighter bracelet.

With a Shark mesh bracelet.

With a vintage-like mesh bracelet.

With the Diver Pro rubber.

BTW, Breitling says that the battery should last 2 to 3 years, depending on the use. Instead, the ETA-E20.341 technical manual says that the battery should last 68 months, so about 5 and 2/3 years; the latter seems more consistent with the fact that my watch has been serviced probably only once in September 2008 by the previous owner (which, by the way, is the original owner).

So the question is: who is right? Can you please share your experience?

I would love to know what kind of battery they use, I been doing batteries at my store for 18 years now and I use renata Swiss batteries and they only last 1 to 2 years maybe 3 on the bigger lithium ones. I would live to know what brand last 5 to 6 years that's impressive.

My wife's Chanel J12 watch is more than 4 yrs old now, and the battery is still running. Not sure what brand battery they use as its not been opened up yet.

As you can see, at the bottom of the left page it states that a CR2320 must be used and at the bottom of the right page it states that the typical theoretic autonomy is 68 months, depending on the frequency with which the alarm and/or the illumination function are activated.

I can't understand why Breitling says that the battery should last only 2 to 3 years.

Oh well, I decided that I simply could not resist for so long without a B on my wrist. So I could not pass on a nice blue dialed Aerospace with box (in really poor condition) and papers, with the original leather strap and signed buckle.

So here she is.

I leave my B1's on Chrono mode so the second hand rests at 12 o'clock.
They've been like that for at least 3 years and still running strong.
