I will be starting my search for a Navitimer Olympus. I know it will be difficult search, but want to know if there are any known issues with the movement. It is a complicated and fascinating one but just want to make sure.

No more or less than any other. Servicing costs more for obvious reasons, but no particular issues.

Thanks. From my search I find there is a Montbrillant Olympus and a regular Navitimer Olympus, what are differences?

The Navi Olympus is slightly older model, made between 2002 and 2005.
The Montbrillant Olympus was made between 2006 and 2010.
Both use the same Cal 19 movement so the differences are effectively in cosmetics.
Casebacks are decorated differently. Dial designs are different. For example the Navitimer Olympus uses the wings logo on the dial and the Monty uses the cursive Breitling logo.
The Navi is slightly bigger at 43mm v's the Monty 42mm but is hardly noticeable.
Google some images and the differences are pretty much in what you see.
To confuse you even more, here is a picture of my Montbrillant 1461 Jours. Same cal 19 movement but slightly older as these were made from 1998 to 2000.
The silver dial, gold hands and gold hour markers make it the best looking combination, in my opinion at least.

side by side comparison of a 1461 Jours and Olympus, not so sure about a Monti Olympus - there two are probably the most common you'll see. There was a white dial olympus for sale here..

Looks good - I'd enquire about service history and go from there. No bracelet is a minor let down.

From the seller:

Quote:
Hi there,
This watch looks to be in incredible like new condition. It appears to be a 1 owner watch that was rarely used and well kept. We did not have to do any refinishing or work on this piece as it was excellent upon receipt. The paper states that the watch was purchased in November, 2004. The retailer was John Huntley Inc. In Texas. We are not sure of the service history on this watch but it is currently running perfectly and does not need one.

For that price with no service history I'd want 12mth warranty (6mth at very very least). Thats why I'd pay a premium from a brick and mortar dealer. I bought both of my b19s pre-owned through ebay (albeit face to face), circa 2002 and only had them serviced in 2012. Having said that they were 2-3yrs old and pretty cheap. So I knew the gamble I was taking. For me it worked out - nowadays I've become more cautious. If that watch is 2004 its due an overhaul so factor that into the price IMO.

from the seller

Quote:
Hi again,
We are only able to offer a warranty on our Rolex watches. This is because we are able to obtain Rolex parts with no problem. Unfortunately we can not offer a warranty on Breitling watches because we would be unable to obtain a part if something were to happen. Our master watch maker has fully inspected this Breitling and found that it is running well and keeping excellent time. It will not require a service in the near future. Possibly it was serviced since its purchase and the record was not retained. The original owner of this great watch had several other high end watches and did not keep records on any of them so it would be in character.

I have a Monty Olympus and I find it to be my least favorite to wear. Because of the layering of complications the crown rides very low on the case and tends to dig into my wrist. I have tried different bracelets and straps with no change. If I could do it over, I wouldn't have gotten it. That said, I still find it to be a cool piece. I like the medallion on the case back.
