HI all new here to the forum and to luxury watches. Just have a quick question that I was hoping that you guys could help me with. I was in my local jewelry store and they had all of their remaining Breitling's on sale for 20% off because they will no longer be carrying Breitling. So my question is do you think I can get a better deal than 20% off if they are trying to unload their remaining seven watches? From what I understand I should be able to get that same discount at any local AD? But like I said I am very new to this so I could be completely wrong.

Thanks in advance for any reply's.

You haven't told us which country you are in so that's difficult to answer. In the US BUSA is clamping down on ADs and 20% will be increasingly hard to achieve.

Welcome to BreitlingSource.

Not sure about the ADs in yr country but for mine 20% is no big deal because they give 25% discount upfront without even the need to bargain with them.

Check if the jeweler is still able to provide Breitling warranty.
As they are no longer a Breitling AD they may not be able to.
If that is the case then the 20% discount does not sound like such a good deal at all.

If they are / were an AD then they should be OK. Usually if things get that bad BUSA will take the stock back rather than allow the store to keep them, but definitely worth checking.

I did ask they said that the full warranty is still available On the watches they had left. So do you guys think that 20% is a good deal or might I be able to push for more because of the situation?

Ok, I'll say it - 20% off for a former AD dealing remaining inventory sucks! When my former Omega AD dropped their contract with Omega because Omega was trying to boss them around so they would give some Breilting display case to Omega, I Could get get whatever I wanted at 40% off.

Also consider what you are losing - the ADs relationship with the regional rep, communication, etc...

A simalar situation is happening here in Orlando. There was two places you could go to purchase breitlings, mayors and sol time. Both were breitling ads. About three months ago they opened up a breitling boutique at the milleina mall and pulled their product from both. When I talked to the manager at the boutique he said that both places were discounting and that is frowned upon. He said they won't budge on the price no matter how many you buy, but did say they have all the swag you could ever want and are very generous with it.

20 ℅ is standard. Ask 40% off, don't be ashamed, considering they will not offer after-sale service, this is your strongest argument, having to go somewhere else for the servicing. Be prepared to settle for 30% for the watch you really like.

It's funny you guys say ask for 40% off because when the guy originally told me what was going on I swore he said 40% off twice. Then when I asked a price of one he said 20%.

So the salesman just left me a voicemail saying that the watch that I was looking at was the B01 model and the retail was 8960 and he was willing to take 20% off. Forgive me for being a novice but does that mean that it is not the chronomat 44 and that it is the older version?

I believe B01 is the in house movement in that watch.

B01 is referring to their in house movement that is in the watch, their newest model
