I'm sure you've all seen the email by now.

New TOC GMT, limited edition with 2000 in SS and 200 in gold. Personally I think it looks nice and clean for a GMT, and quite fetching in the Mercury Silver dial. The Breitling website is a lot of fun to play with all the different straps on :-)

The blurb from Breitling:
Quote:
The contemporary classic Transocean collection welcomes a new travel watch boasting unprecedented user friendliness. To mark the launch of this chronograph with a nomadic soul, Breitling is offering red gold or steel limited editions featuring an elegant guilloché dial and a transparent caseback revealing Manufacture Breitling Caliber B04.

Entirely developed and produced within the Breitling workshops, selfwinding chronograph Caliber B04 is distinguished by its ultra-pratical and innovative second timezone powered by a patented mechanism. When the user reaches another part of the globe, he need only pull out the crown and turn it forwards or backwards in one-hour increments in order to instantly adjust to the time and date of the new timezone – all the while maintaining a 24-hour home-time indication and without losing any precision in terms of the minutes display. This highly functional device, combined with a high-performance chronograph, joins the Breitling Transocean collection – a line with a pure design reflecting the spirit of long-distance journeys and luxury long-haul airliners. Issued in limited series of 200 in red gold and 2,000 in steel, the new Transocean Chronograph GMT features an elegantly understated case with a beveled bezel and slender lugs. It is distinguished by a silver or black guilloché dial adorned with applied hour-markers, finely recessed counters and the 18K gold interpretation of the B initial that served for many years as the brand symbol. The transparent sapphire crystal caseback – a rarity for Breitling – provides a chance to admire the architecture of Manufacture Breitling Caliber B04, chronometer-certified by the COSC (Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute), as indeed are all Breitling movements. Timeless elegance, peerless performance, unrivaled user friendless: exactly the kind of qualities required to cross fashion trends and ocean expanses with enduring style and panache.

Don't really like the GMT hand. Doesn't match the entire watch IMO. Otherwise the rest are nice.

I also don't love the GMT hand. I especially don't love the red GMT numbers on the white dial.

Will they put the B04 movement in a Navi World already?!

I saw this just yesterday (email from Breitling).
Had a look with anticipation as the next watch will be a GMT.
After exploring and using the 'made to measure' feature, I was a little taken aback by the price - AU$10,800!

I have been looking at the Rolex Ceramic GMT for a while & for less than this watch. It's a time tested model that I'd happily hold & hand down to the next generation.

Although the e-mail came out today it was a Basel announcement - viewtopic.php?f=1&t=47168

I love it. I really like the textured dial. At 43mm it's a good size, maybe a mm or two too big. The GMT hand is a similar to a sweep hand Breitling has often used in past.

odd, i used the search function for old threads and it didn't come up, oh well!

I love the textured dial, especially in the silver.

And Dan, that isn't that much more than $9700 asking price for the regular Transocean Chrono.

Hello all,

Sorry to bring up this old thread.

I am trying to find out the serial code for this Transocean GMT (The third image in Dr Js second post, white face). Is there anybody who could point me in the right direction?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Greg

Edit. I think I have found it. If anyone could confirm that it's AB045112/G772/437X I would appreciate it.

Regards
Greg

If you go to breitling website you can easily find out the code through "made to measure" and you can choose to see what bracelet and straps. I personally do have one it is a lovely piece!
