What is the best way to insure my lings and other jewlery against theft, loss and all other situations if I don't have home owners insurance. Is there some kind of policy I can get to do this separate from everything else. |

jewelers mutual is ok, but chubb is far and away leaps and bounds better than jewelers mutual. i handle claims from them, state farm and chubb and its not even close how much better chubb is than the rest. |

I had a heck of a time finding insurance once I moved to the UK. I finally found a place, but the coverage is awful. They basically only cover if the jewelry gets stolen off my body or out of a safe. It appears that Jewelers Mutual only operates in US/Canada. However, I looked into Chubb (thanks to Fear) and they seem to operate in Europe. Does anyone know for certain if I can get Chubb insurance in the UK? I'll try giving them a call, but I'm not expecting anyone to answer on the weekend. |

If you have homeowners insurance you can get a rider just like many do for an engagement ring. |
