I enjoyed my steel and gold Evolution just fine. But then I got the urge to install a diamond bezel on it and did! The watch looked just beautiful and I wore it that way for almost a year. Here recently I got to thinking that a diamond bezel is just what my ss Headwind needed to set it off. On the other hand, my ss and gold Evolution really didn't need the diamond bezel at all. So yesterday, after fetching the standard bezel I removed last year from my Evolution, I sat down at the kitchen table (where I do my best work) and proceeded to loosen all of those tiny, tiny screws from around the Evolution's diamond bezel. Finally, just the slightest of tugs and the bezel was removed from the Evolution. I then carefully installed the orignal bezel that came with the Evolution from the factory. Next step: I unloosen the screws on the Headwind and carefully removed that bezel. I now excitedly lowerd the Evolution diamond bezel on to the Headwind watch! But wait!!! Something is amiss!!! Can it be? Yes...it is true! The Headwind watch has an ever so slightly smaller face!!! The diamond bezel (not Breitling diamonds I should add) was just a little too large for the Headwind! So, diappointly, I reinstalled the original Headwind bezel back to its lifelong home on the face of my beautiful Headwind watch. (Sigh)....Well...it SEEMED like a fine idea. That's OK. Both of those watches are doing just fine al-natural...and I'm a little wiser for the experience.
